Seeking to promote the works of new filmmakers from Newfoundland, Labrador and beyond, Travis Lucas (Wicked West Coast) and W. Evan Butler (SOONL Media) have developed a new event: the Sandy Point Independent Film Festival (SPIFF).
On Saturday, May 9, 2026, the very first SPIFF took place at the Stephenville Arts & Culture Centre, followed by a limited online screening on our YouTube channel. We thank everyone that attended and/or tuned in, and a MASSIVE THANKS to the artists who contributed their work.
Plans have already begun for SPIFF 2027! Stay tuned!
